Refund Policy
Last updated: September 19, 2026
1. Summary
This Refund Policy explains when and how Geolyti, Inc. (“Geolyti,” “we,” “us”) refunds subscription payments for the Geolyti service (the “Service”). It forms part of our Terms of Service and, on the subject of refunds, takes precedence over them.
- Within 7 days of a charge: we refund 100% of the subscription price for that charge.
- More than 7 days after a charge: we refund 30% of the subscription price for that charge.
- Taxes are never refunded. Sales tax, VAT, GST, and any other tax or duty collected on your payment is excluded from every refund, in both cases above.
2. Full refund within the first 7 days
If you request a refund within 7 calendar days of a subscription charge, we refund the full subscription price of that charge — 100%, with no proration for the days you used the Service.
The 7-day window runs from the date the charge was taken, not from the date you created your account. It applies to your first payment and to each renewal payment independently: a renewal charged on the 1st can be refunded in full if you ask us by the 8th, whether or not earlier charges were refundable.
3. Partial refund after 7 days
If you request a refund more than 7 calendar days after a charge, we refund 30% of the subscription price of that charge. The remaining 70% is not refundable, regardless of how much of the billing period is left or how much of the Service you used.
This 30% applies per charge, to the most recent charge on your subscription. Charges from earlier billing periods are closed and are not reopened for a refund.
4. Taxes are excluded from every refund
Every refund is calculated on the subscription price before tax. Any sales tax, VAT, GST, or similar amount shown on your invoice is excluded and is not returned to you by us.
The reason is that Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”) acts as merchant of record for your purchase and calculates, collects, and remits that tax to the relevant tax authority on the transaction. Where the law of your jurisdiction requires tax to be returned along with a refunded sale, that requirement prevails over this section and Paddle will handle it — we do not reduce any right you have under applicable tax or consumer law.
Worked example. A €100 subscription charged with €21 VAT totals €121. Refunded within 7 days, you receive €100. Refunded after 7 days, you receive €30. The €21 of VAT is excluded in both cases.
5. When your request counts as made
A refund request is dated from when we receive it at billing@geolyti.com — not from when you cancel in the billing page, and not from when we reply. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals; it is not by itself a refund request. If you want both, say so in your email.
6. How to request a refund
Email billing@geolyti.com from the address on your Geolyti account, and include:
- the email address your account is registered under;
- the Paddle invoice or order number of the charge you want refunded (it is on the receipt Paddle emailed you); and
- whether you also want the subscription cancelled.
We aim to answer refund requests within 3 business days and to approve or decline within 10 business days of receiving the information above.
7. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are issued through Paddle to the original payment method. We cannot send a refund to a different card, account, or person. Once Paddle processes a refund, your bank or card issuer typically takes a further 5–10 business days to post it, which is outside our control.
Refunds are issued in the currency you were charged in. We do not compensate for exchange-rate movement or bank fees.
8. What happens to your access
When a charge is refunded, the subscription it paid for ends. We cancel the subscription, stop future renewals, and downgrade your account to the free tier at the time the refund is issued — a refunded billing period is not a period you keep access to.
Your data is retained as described in our Privacy Policy. Export anything you want to keep before requesting a refund.
9. Cancelling without a refund
You can cancel at any time from the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: you keep paid access until then, and you are not charged again. Cancelling this way is not a refund and does not start a refund request.
10. Exceptions and abuse
We may decline a refund where the account has breached the acceptable use section of our Terms of Service, where the request is an attempt to obtain the Service repeatedly without paying for it (for example a pattern of subscribe-and-refund across accounts), or where the charge has already been disputed with your bank.
If we cancel your account for breach of the Terms, no refund is due. If we discontinue the Service, or a charge was taken in error or duplicated, we refund the affected amount in full — the tiers in Sections 2 and 3 do not apply to our own billing errors.
11. Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback freezes the payment with Paddle while it is investigated, which prevents us from refunding you directly and usually takes far longer than the process above. We may suspend an account with an open chargeback until it is resolved.
12. Your statutory rights
The Service is sold for business use. Where mandatory consumer law nevertheless applies to your purchase — for example a statutory right of withdrawal in the EU or UK — that law overrides this policy to the extent it is more favourable to you, and nothing here limits it. Paddle, as merchant of record, administers those statutory rights for the transaction.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The policy that applies to a given charge is the one published on the date that charge was taken. For material changes we will give notice by email or in-app before they take effect where practicable; the “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
